Randomly random...

The Question is : When will the beauty of life be realised?
The Answer is : When we do/have the things we want to do/have at that point of time!
(Atleast according to me!)

Right now, I mean 'now', life rocks! And, Iam very close to realising the beauty of life! And, the thing I want to do/have right now is, move in with a friend! Then, party hard!

Now the thing that amuses me is, why I dont have the urge to work hard? I have always dreamt of, wealth, comfort and a life to be told about! But, I have never wanted to work hard! I suppose I`ll start doing it!

We see people, who are big, figuratively speaking! They are all successful, atleast most of them in this corporate world we live! I tell you, I definitely would like to be them! But, I really cant imaging myself being there.

P.S 1 : I, after great difficulty have written a complete post. Have been trying to do so for the past 2 days!

P.S.2 : My posts have been focussing on me completely, I have to change the style!

P.S. 3 : This post can be valued void, as this is just the effort to write a complete post!

Balu...

Balu, is the name of the guy who trained us on software engineering, and I am writing about him. There arises a question. "Why write about him??" There are 2 answers.

1. He was so cool that we guys got little bit emotional when his session ended. He actually made me realise, S/w engineering was actually very interesting.

2. Because of the big fat fire breathing pig which came to teach us DBMS the next day!

Watch carefully, Balu had trained us, and the pig taught us! Balu had said "You guys are not in college anymore. Call me Balu and 'learn' not 'study'!" The pig with smoke in its nose had said, "You are not in college, listen carefully. Take down this point, it is very important for the Examination"

We all, or atleast I was disappointed. It was a drastic difference between the 1st and the 2nd trainer! Balu gave us activities, and open book tests. The pig gave us a exaination after a greatly irritating 6hr session. And the whole point was, we had learnt in Balu`s sessions and we were bored in the pig`s class.(Again nothe the use of words, Sessions and class).

The pig was just one of many irritating lecturers we come across in the 21 years of student-hood. But, Balu made an impact. A big one infact! Before he left, he had said, "We are like train passengers. We stand on the station, shake hands and promise to keep in touch. But, apparently we forget each other when we step out of the station." He used "WE" including himself into the category.

Finally, I shook his hand thanking him! He said, "A sound comes only when you clap wit 2 hands. So, thank you!" Thank you Balu! We owe you one!

Sunday, July 22, 2007

I just realised sunday is already over, and I have to catch that crappy city bus to my office tomorrow. But, Im not complaining. I should get used to the way life is going to be. The weeks are going to be faster and weekends faster. Well, training has been supercool so far. Looking forward to it. I go to office with the expectation that the day is gonna be crappy and everything happens on the contrary. Balu, you taught me S/W Engg in 1 day dude! Thats something my college couldnt do in 6 months! You rock dude!

P.S. Im still looking for a house to stay. :-(

Non-Patriotic love...

I sit on the couch, I blow into my tea and a layer of vapour forms on my glasses. Then, I realise, I have to write a post about the place which is probably going to be my home for the next 2 years. The 1st few days have been awesome. I get to wear a double layered clothing and still end up not sweating. How cool is that? And, I`m kind of enjoying the real formal attire, that I got to wear for the 1st 4 days of the week. Work, or rather training hasn`t started yet, but the people are really good. Nice batch, Good employers. I`m loving it. Damn, I havent visited the mc-d yet! But, no regrets. I`ve got a lot of time for that.

I read huge article about how people are affected by writing about their colleagues. I am not gonna say anything about them. But, of what I know these people are really professionals. Anyways, I`ve got a great batch and a mixture of people. It has people who stands up when a HR personell enters the room. Dudes! We are gonna work with these people. Just because these guys have joined a coupla years before us, we are equals! Its really irritating when people do that. And, of course, it has people cool, casual and with my aggregate ;-). So, for now, life is awesome, bangalore is awesome and yeah, the "work" is awesome!

Just watch an episode of scrubs. You`ll come back to your spirits!
Its finally time. I`m leaving this godforsaken place tomorrow. I loved chennai. Have`nt got much to say against this city. Only the personal reasons I hate living here anymore. And of course the freedom of living alone. I am quite sure I wont be coming back, or atleast I hope so. This place has got memories. Yeah! Good memories which arw actually bad and bad memories which are actually good. I`d miss the annapoorna idlys, the dosa from podi dosa kadai. I`d miss the guys. I`d definitely miss dad saying an indirect no to take the car outside, and of course, the look on his face when I take it out without his willing. I`d miss amma`s gobi65, and bhindhi sambar. I`ll actually miss all of you, even if i dont say so. Thanks for bein in my life. :-)

P.S. I really thought about this. Then I said to myself,"who cares a damn!". I know it is damn shameless, but yet, the world should know that 07.07.07 was Rampi`s birthday!
For your information, Im not happy nor excited. But it is my birthday. So, cheers!

The White Castle!

I sat on an inclined chair. "This will hurt only a bit", said a voice. I looked directly into my sister`s eyes through the thick lens of my spectacular spectacles. There was a sign of anxiousness. I could`nt understand whether it was "how my brother would react?" or "is my brother gonna be ok?". But, I was relieved with the sight of it. Then I felt pain. Severe pain. I screamed out loud. The look in her eyes changed. It changed into "poor fellow". Then there were tears. I cried. The pain was horrible.
Then, the next thing i saw was, 5 of my teeth, on the ever-silver tray in front of me. Then, the next morning i again felt pain. Horrible pain, while drinking my bournvita! I screamed again. And, again my sister looked at me with a "poor fellow" look!

More than 15 years after that, today, I visited the dentist. I smiled at the lady dentist, probably with a midlife crisis(I came to this conclusion coz she did`nt smile back!). Then, I sat on the similar inclined chair. This time she said, "You wont feel any pain, but you may feel a tingling sensation!". Whats a tingling sensation on your teeth? Anyways, it took her 15 minutes to clean my teeth. She said, "You dont need a cleaning, you have maintained it pretty well." Something i can be proud of. She advised me to wear brases, but people are used to look at me the way I am! So, I said " nevermind!". There goes the episode at the dentist!

P.S. The title is supposed to refer to my mouth which has clean white teeth!

Anbe Sivam...

There has always been some movies, which stay close to your heart always! And Im really proud Tamil cinema has the class to have a movie which can be one such. I`m talking about Anbe Sivam. I watched the movie for the n`th time today. Call me sensitive, but, everytime, I do find tears! Its about how affection(anbu) matters in everyone of our lives. Its a Kamal Hasan movie. Directed my Sundar.C and the story was by the genius Kamal himself. This movie wasnt a box office hit, but one movie which I always look up to. Just a recomendation for all the people who arent familiar with Tamil movies. Just watch it and if you dont understand, watch it with subtitles.

pathetic? err...

Life has been pathetically boring for us guys. One of our last conversations on skype went like this...

Sori: allo
Rampi(thats me): allo
Joobie : allo
Joobie : What you upto?
Sori : vetti only
Rampi : nothing
Sue : Wow, nice conversation!
thou : lol!!!

Thats how pathetic things have been. Not able to plan anything off late. Everyone of us are busy in our own ways. Maybe this is the time where we all lose contact and move in different directions in our lives. Hope that never happens. Let me say this. You guys are the best always. Maybe coz, my school people were pathetic. I had great fun with you guys! Thanks dudes!

Feeling Rather Empty!

I go way too deep into thought, with echoes - pink floyd, heard continuously in my head, I realise, I am still a homosapien and I do have a sensible clear mind. I made the choices, all the way from the 1st standard. I had designed my life into a non-charismatic boring marathon, in which I run till I find satisfaction. There was a problem. I found satisfaction way too soon. Iam pushing forward, but satisfaction creeps. There hasn`t been a day without me regretting taking up engineering as the tool to feed me in the future. But then, as arun says, "In life there should be no regrets!"! It was my choice of taking up engineering. No one forced me into it. But, I could not speak out. I did not know what was I interested in back then. I would`ve loved to take up law, or professional photography. I just did not speak out! I made the choice of listening to my parents, as always, believing that they would do it for my good.

Why are there so many engineers in our country? Is it something the country must be proud of or is it just wierd? Are there too many families which think, engineering is the only profession which can help them lead a normal life. Some other good but risky professions are there. There arises another sensible question! Are indians just satisfied with an average paying life style or are they just plainly dont want to take risks?

I always believe in a happy life. How much ever you earn, as long as you are happy, you are leading a beautiful life! I can say, the auto driver who took me from central station to home is leadin a good life. The guy sitting in the cash cabin of my college canteen is leading a good life. Is it really that way or is it just me?

I guess I am not a homosapien with a clear mind! But then who does?

Plus it is!

It was a great moment, when dad said, you can get a bike. It was so great that I heard A.R.Rahman`s backround score around me! It was really that kind of a moment. Cherish it always. And, I chose Hero honda passion plus. I have to admit I love the bike. The 1st day I took it to college, I knocked on heaven`s door! And, I made sue accompany me there. But, really it wasn`t that serious. Had heavy bruises. But, close to be run over by the truck which hit us. The bike was damaged. And, I always kind of feel that the bike saved me. I love it. I thought about all this. When I saw my bike getting washed after a long time in the rain.

I do sometimes feel bad, I dont maintain the bike properly. But the bike has always done its duty. All those days, when Im extremely angry that dad dint give me the car; the bike did reciprocate on my violent moves on the road. I`ve put it down 10 times, and still it runs flawlessly.

I never had great fascination towards powerful stylish travel wagons! I thought, passion was economic and for my use its always good. So decided on getting it. I`ve driven 13000kms in just over a year. Planning to take it to banglore. My dear passion, you`ve acknowledged every cut I took, every illegal turn I made and every sudden brakes I put on the signals. Thank you!

Flash news - Ram is jobless enough to see Sivaji for the 2nd time and again love it.

Flash news - Ram is addicted to psychedelic rock. Listening to pink floyd and the doors!

Bengalooru!! Here I come!

I actually do like the place forits weather and air. I knows its getting way too polluted. But, it was Pune i wanted. Im convinced with Bengalooru. Okay, I`ll stop calling it that way! Banglore! Here I come! Yeah! I recieved my Date of Joining and Place of Joining from the HR! It was a phone call I made in the morning. And, yeah obviously Im happy about this. Will be joining work on july 16th. Thats quick. I thought it would be a lot later.

I`ll miss chennai. But, I`ve got to leave this place. Too many memories here. Good and bad! So, I`ll miss the good ones and forget the bad ones. Its really cool to say, "I miss chennai"! So, either way its good. And, there were romours that we were gonna be put up at chennai itself. So, I was kinda pissed for quite a while. But, satisfied now. Already hugged my mom and bid goodbye! So, yeah! Banglore! here i come!

I Forgive you!

Im in a mood to forgive and be forgiven. So, Im sorry for all that I`ve done to hurt you. And, if you want to confess for anything which you had done to me or for the society, this is the time!

The Real Boss!!

Saw Sivaji today. And loved it. No one can really beat the real boss. He`s damn smart in the movie, with the youthfulness bubbling in him. Back in 1995, Rajni movies were only for Rajini fans. Only the crazy Rajini fans used to watch it. Actually it was virtually impossible to get tickets in those days and I was in 5th std! But today, the movie is screened in all the 6 theatres of Satyam cinemas. There are only 5 or 6 theatres which are not running Sivaji.

It was a typical Rajini movie. It is said, "life is easier to live by when you lower your expectations to such a low level that they are already met". So, thats the way it is. But, if this same movie was taken with Vijay as the hero, I would`ve noticed people spitting on the clean Satyam theatre walls. But it was Rajini who made the film watchable and infact lovable. Awesome styles. The way he says "Cool!". And, yeah! Prabhudeva`s choreography for the Athiradee song is damn damn good. I`d say, its Rajini who made this movie, one of the best of his movies!

Thala... You are the best!!

Evolution

We evolved. From, the apes, to an upright human being. And, it doesn`t end there. We have been evolving, ever since, throughout our, decades, centuries and milleniums. And, to the extent of belief I have that, Im made up of, flesh and blood, I do believe that, I evolved too. Not by Darwin`s theory. In my own funny way. Actually, we all do evolve from the second we are born. From, a child which cried for no reason, I evolved to a random school going guy, who hated education; from a hopeless moron, who went for a movie, 2 days before the 12th maths exam, to a guy who is expecting the date of joining from the company which recruited him. Added, are the maturity, ability to actually think and a helluva lot of fat. Yeah, damn right! We all do evolve.

Life has been an awkward rollercoaster ride, without the saftey belt(s)! Really. Too many risks and too many perceptions. I realised, life was gonna be hard, when I did the watchman job for a very dear friend, when he did his romance. It was my 12th coaching class, and it was 5:30 in the morning. And, my teachers appreciated me, when I answered them perfectly in the class. Our, physics sir used to say stories in the middle of the class for relaxations. It was crap. We slept anyway! So, this was the part of the class, when we gave break to the sleeping. One day, he started....

Physics Sir : Krishna theva raja, asked thenali what was the most pleasureful thing in the world.
And, from back of the class, a voice came to life. Good guess! It was me.
I : To Pee!
Physics sir: yeah yeah!

Then he started teaching. No sign of me! Some of my friends, who slept even through the story telling sessions, asked me, howcome I was so brilliant to answer such questions. I just blushed and went back to sleep. School was fun; especially coz, I dint study.

But, college was different. College, was the only place, where I could not study and dont feel guilty about it. So, it all happened. I marched passed the enormously short semesters on a Clear-Flunk basis. Yeah. I clear one paper and flunk in other. But, apparently it did work out. Me, being someone, who believes, "whatever happens to you, is only because of you; doesn`t matter if its good or bad", will say that, I was responsible for what I am today. From the position in which I am now, I will not give you the wrong perception of me that, Im good and disciplined and that, Im someone who loves to study and excel in everything. Im the same old guys, who studies, exactly 2 days before the exam and scores a modest 60%, eventhough I dont have anymore exams to write.

I was the kind of guy, who prays exactly on the day of the exam, for which the preparation was minimum. And, I also have been the guy who cursed god for the bad results. And, when I realised, it was me, I stopped yelling at those immovable, colourful photographs of beautiful people with a helluva lot of jewellary. I can describe myself as a semi-aethists. Or, as my friend joobie puts it, I believe in god, but not in relegions. I believe in the big bang. But, I think a superior force made it happen. So, the semi-aethist title!

This has turned out to be a long long post. And, now, I`ve got to do the most pleasureful thing in the whole world.

100 not out!

This is the 100th post! Yippee! I dont believe I`ve written a 100 times to post in this blog. Started 8 months ago, this blog was all about me. Ramprasad Arunachalam, potentially fit for nothing. And, now, I`ve written 100 posts. Wow! OK! Nothing special about it though! And, yeah, I`ll still be continuing.

**************************************

Me, and the guys had gone to pondy, auroville, yesterday, in search of enlightment. Naah! We, just visited the ashram! It was fun! Was like going for a long long drive, on a hot hot day. The plan was to stay for a coupla days. But, weather and the quality of the rooms, made us to come back the same day. It was damn tiring at the end of the day!
But, we had fun - Bottomline!

***************************************

Sometimes, old movies are beautiful! I loved the Rear Window, 12 angry men and Its a wonderful life. But, today, I saw a Tamil movie called "Punnagai"- meaning a smile. It was so so so damn beautiful! Its about 4 friends from college, taking up different routes in life. Sometimes, it astonishes me, of how well the directors of those days have thought. Its been a long time since I enjoyed an old Tamil movie. It was fun watching the movie.

I`ve been watching too much of sports, that I started wondering, the stars` faces were familiar. Here are my findings. But they just may not be accurate.

Depp and nadal! Might not be very obvious.

Wayne Rooney and Mark Boucher. Mark boucher should have a hari cut for the rooney look!

Federer and Quentin Tarantino. Awesome resemblance!

Ana!

Having learnt the sport for just more than 4 years, 1 thing that always strikes to me is, its beauty and the way in which you never give up. Im talking about tennis. A fabulous sport. The opponent, drops one near the net, and you run with your full heart to play the shot. And, this is the only game of my knowledge in which you can never give up! In cricket, 7 runs remaining of 1 ball - not possible, in football, 4 goals in 1 minute - not possible, same goes for hockey and basketball. This is the only game in which, even if your opponent has 3 match points, you can fight back and with considerable talent, actually win the game. Thats the beauty of the game.

I`ve been watching the french open. Yeah, I respect Justine Henin. She plays with class. But, this beauty, Ana Ivanovic, Has stolem my heart. Seriously! She looks good and plays pretty good. She`s a girl from Serbia and I was astonished by a piece of info i got from the match commentary. She used to practise, in an empty swimming pool, with a carpet on the floor. Geez!! Thats hard work. I now feel emotionless for all the back-breaking sessions my coach gave me during those coaching days! And, most of all, she look good! She talks good english! I watched the match in which she came down hopelessly, despite of me yelling, "c`mon fight!fight!" at the television. Its hard to look at beautiful tennis playing women losing. But, she was nervous, maybe a justification. But, she deserves it.

Over You!

I`ve been addicted to this Chris Daughtry song - over you. Awesome number. I heard his its not over on tv and downloaded the whole album. I couldn`t find the video. So, here goes the lyrics.

Now that it’s all said and done
I can’t believe you were the one
To build me up and tear me down
Like an old abandoned house
What you said when you left
Just left me cold and out of breath
I fell too far, was in way too deep
Guess I let you get the best of meeee

Well I never saw it coming
I should have started running
A long, time agooo!
And I never thought I’d doubt you
I’m better off without you
More than you, more than you know
I’m slowly getting closure
I guess it’s really over
I’m finally gettin’ better
Now I’m picking up the pieces
From spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together
‘Cause the day I thought I’d never get through
I got over you!!!

You took a hammer to these walls
Dragged the memories down the hall
Packed your bags and walked away
There was nothing I could say,
And when you slammed the front door shut
A lot of other’s opened up
So did my eyes so I could see
That you never were the best for meee

Well I never saw it coming
I should have started running
A long, time agooo!
And I never thought I’d doubt you
I’m better off without you
More than you, more than you know
I’m slowly getting closure
I guess it’s really over
I’m finally getting’ better
Now I’m picking up the pieces
From spending all of these years
Putting my heart back together
‘Cause the day I thought I’d never get through
I got over you!!!

Awesome song. Get your hands on it as soon as possible!

Engineer Finally!

Today, I have officially become an engineer, with the results out, and me scoring 78%! For all those who know me, 78% is not my kind of percentage. And, dad was all enthusiastic when i told him this! Yeah obviously! For a man, who had thought that his son, would`nt clear the 12th std, his son finishing engineering, should have been a good feeling. But, otherwise, it was just another day. Had dinner with the guys at a veg restaurant, vegetarian one. Ate till the point where the oesophages touches the modula oblangada (dont care if the spelling is wrong!), if at all they touch each other! And, yeah, we had good fun today, calling each other engineers. Its is an accomplishment. aint it?

The secret behind relaxed people is, laziness!

- The Hindu, Metro Plus, Grafitti.

Beau Nuits!!

It was 11pm that night. I wanted to go to bed. I was desperate. But, I wasnt sleepy. My mom held my hand, tight, so I wouldnt run away! All, I wanted was to get a good night sleep. Then, mom`s face turned red and she yelled. She yelled at the hieght of her voice. I dint budge at all. Then, she pinched me under my arm! Ouch! That hurt! I had tears in my eyes. She came close to me and said "Finish this chapter and go to sleep!". I had to! And, thats the story of me getting the 23rd rank in the quaterly exams of 1993! And, I utterly burst out laughing when I think about these things that happened in my school days! Yeah, the good old days, when I had to fake studying to get crackers for Diwali, when I had to pursue my parents not to go for the parent-teacher meeting(Damn!! it never worked!!).

And, today, its 1 am, mom just woke up and remindes me that I had to sleep! I can call myself nocturnal. As, I have been for the past 8 months. But, it shouln`t be this way. What the hell?? I`ll be a normal S/W engineering guy, who works 14 hrs a day, partying in the night, after 2 months now! So, nowadays, Im kinda used to being bored, getting all the sleep I want. You know what I mean! This post couldn`t be getting more boring. Okay, chill out people! ciao.

P.S. : If you are wondering what the title meant, it means beautiful nights in french.

Dreamland blues!

Sometimes, you wake up with a refreshing mood, with your mind all eared up of doing the things you`ve planned to do! Today, the exact opposite happened to me! It was a stupid dream. The most pathetic dream. Yes! I dreamt today morning at 9! I was pleading to someone for something, which would probably come for the rest of my life! But,thats somethin which I would never do. Even if it cost my life, I wouldn`t beg for it to someone! I just hated that dream. Yeah, it is qualified to be a nightmare.

Apparently, I had another dream. Which I kinda enjoyed. In this one, I was talking to a friend who is a fellow candidate to be placed in the same company as I am! He tells me, the company has sent us a brand new, Lenovo, laptop with a core 2 duo! Wow, mann! Thats great! Then, I come home, I find the laptop. Put it aside and call sue to tell him, what my company does and his company doesnt! Then I wake up for a second, ask myself if this is real, then fall asleep. I get the answer in the dream, that it is. Im happy in my dream! Damn!! Then after an hour, I wake up and realise that it was just a dream!

Thus, the day gets spoiled, coz,
1. I did something which i wud never do, in my dream, and
2. I was disappointed that, the other dream was not true!

Flash news: Ram bought the gmat book. Not yet studying, but its a start!

You put me to sleep everynight man!! Thanks!

I have been blogging for over 7 or 8 months now, and Ive never dedicated a post for my favorite musician! So this one goes for him! Rahman! You all love him. For, me, his music just defines my thoughts. I can easily spend hours listening to him!

My sister, in chicago, is goin for the june 9th concert there. Ive never been to a Rahman concert. Id love to be there. There isnt any facts that I`d like to say about him. I just wanna dedicate this post to him! He`s just as famous and everyone knows about him!

Rock Bottom Laziness!

Thanks to thou, who was kind enough to lend me his guitar. Im looking forward to learn playing it. Actually, I`ve been looking into the internet for guitar lessons. But, its never as good as the real stuff. But, anyways, thanks for the guitar man! I really appreciate it!

There has been a lot of rock shows, going on around. In, chennai, there has been rock shows going on in YMCA grounds for the past one week. Edo, had tickets for a last week show, and he had asked me to come. I actually, wanted to go with the guys, and have fun. But, ended up not goin. 2 reasons!
1. Sometimes, you like a person, and u like everything that person likes and hate everything that person hates. On the other hand, when you hate a person, you hate everything the person likes and like everything the person hates! Apparently, rock music is something which a person i hate, likes. So, I kinda learnt to hate rock music.
2. There was "the match"! Couldnt afford to miss it!

Thou, also asked me if, I could come to the Aerosmith show in Blore! And, again, Im not much into Aerosmith, though i respect those guys! So, ended up not goin!

Flashnews: Ram, couldnt move his ass, to join the tennis classes, eventhough, he really wants to join!

And, I said "make it 200!"

I can feel every muscle in my body ache after bowling a 3 over spell. It was a bet match. As i entered the scene, they said it was a 100Rs bet. And I said, "make it 200!". Well it was 100, and I dont know why i was so confident! We were the old schoolmates playing against the so called younger guys. We were once invinsible. Those were the times when i used to get down as no 3 and play a decent innings. And a decent innings is like, i hit around 20 runs. And yeah, im talking about tennis ball cricket. After about 2 years we guys played a match yesterday. The setting was good. Better ground.

We lost the toss and they elected to bat. We had 11 guys. But only 4 bowlers who can bowl decently. I joined in that list very recently. It was a 14 over match. A bowler can a bowl a max of 4 overs. They had good players. But it was the 5th over when i came to bowl, the 1st wicket fell. It was stupid match. We chased badly and lost by 30 runs.
But, all in the game. Had a good time though. Except, I growl everytime, I sit down or get up!

Rampi Says...

An idle mind is a devil`s work shop. Hey devil, you have to pay me 2 months advance!

Untitled - ugh, i hate it!

I got an invite from a friend to join a community called flixter. It just asks for me to fill in my details. And, suddenly, on a screen i click "next" and the site itself collect contacts from my google account and send them invites. I find the community interesting, coz its all about movies. But, I dont want people joining it and cursing me to send the invite. And, By doing this, I also sent invites to some people I hate. And, the worst part is, they even joined. Its a pathetic feeling, really. Btw, I really have nothing to write, just scribbling something which comes into my mind.

The other day, went to a movie called chennai 600028. Good flick. A fun movie. It was hilarious. Its about cricket and they`ve taken the movie well. We had a good laugh. But mozhi was far better. Its a feel good movie. Every moment of the film, you feel, u had a life like that. Thats how a movie should be. Anyways, got nothing more to write. cya.

confused- Broke my head, rolled it in a bowling alley and ate brain sandwich! Help me!

Just before the exams which i just wrote, i had a lot of plans for the holidays. First, i decided to work in a call center, before i join i-flex. For, like 2 months, you know, earning some good bucks, not depending on dad for my expenditure. But, then, decided against it, when i realised, it wasnt worth it, except for the money. So, the call center thing is out of question now. Then, second, i was planning to write gmat and keep, so was planning to prepare for it. The initial step for the preparation is to buy the gmat book, which i havent taken yet. Im now almost sure that, I`ll be taking the exam before I start working. But, studying for gmat alone is not gonna be good, coz, im really really not good at studying! So, have to do something else. Whatever I do, there must be a meaning to it. I thought of volunteering to some social help organisation and help them for the next 2 months. But, confused. Cant think straight(im not gay!!!). I am jus nervous that, i might get it all wrong! Gimme some sugestions, of what i should be doing for the next 2 months. help me!

Cinderella Man

A good cinema, should make you feel "wow, man, that was good" a the end of it. Cinderella Man is that kind of a movie. Russel Crowe, does an excellent job as always. We`ve seen that in gladiator and A beautiful mind. And the Director, Ron Howard gets you right into the story. The movie is about a boxing legend, James.J Braddock, who won over the animal, Max Baer. The biggest strenght of the movie is, the director shows and makes the audience feel the agony of james` wife, played by Renée Zellweger. I saw this movie on TV late at night, and woke up the next morning, with the movie, 1st thing in my mind. Ron Howard, seems to have problems with writing his own scripts. But, he does a great job on adapted stories. He deserves the oscar. Just, grab the dvd of this movie and watch. Its worth it.

Mi...

Last week was a satisfactory week. May 18th, friday, was my mom`s b`day. And im glad, i cud do something which could be called as birthday celebration, to my standards. Honestly speaking, mom has never celebrated her b`day. Maybe a handful of occasions when me and sis gave her flowers or greeting cards, which said, "ma we love you". We have to feel great on our birthdays. For, mom, it has always been just another day, doing the dishes, cooking breakfast, lunch, dinner and my 4th meal. None of her sisters wishes her. Her birthdays, for the past 55 years have been like this. But, this time, thanks to the money my sister had sent me, I took her, dad and my grandmother to a beautiful movie. Yeah, thats the celebration ive been talking about. And, the occasion was, my mom`s b`day. So, it can be accounted as a celebration. Im glad, and I could definitely say that, she felt good, on her b`day. I had a feeling of satisfaction.

I also bought her a pizza. She, used to ask me for it, whenever I go out with friends for dinner. I always used to forget about it, the next time I go out. But, i remembered. I went to the pizza corner, bought her a good medium pizza, and came home. But, this was the next day of her b`day. But again, glad i could atleast do this for her. It actually feels good when you do stuffs which pleases the people you love. Love you ma... always do.

Pride

I have successfully completed six months, since i wrote the post about me following rules and all. I am proud to say that, I`ve managed to follow the road rules and traffic rules. Ever since then, I`ve not got into a share auto. Share autos are forbidden to accomodate more than 3 people. But none of the auto guys follow the rules. My motto was that, i shouldnt get into share autos which break the rules. But, even when i get into the share auto and demand the driver not to take more than 3 passengers, no one including the co passengers accept to travel by it, fearing the probable hike in the price. As I said, the mistakes must be corrected from the bottom. And the root cause for the guys to commit mistakes is us, the public. And the other motto i took up on that post is, i shud never bribe the cops. I dint get a chance to meet the guys on the road as i mostly follow the traffic rules.

It feels good when there are no mistakes committed from my side. Makes me guilty free.

Spiderman III

I go outta the house to escape the never ending TV serials to the cinemas to see Spiderman III, and there I again see a 3 hour TV serial. The movie was crap. There are totally 4 or maybe 3 action scenes in the movie. They keep repeating the same scenes on tv. You go there with an expectation and you end up seeing a "The young and Restless" look alike. Good god! It was too boring. The characters at some point of time have to move on from the romance and get over the stupic break up! That never happens in the movie. The ending is typical tamil movie. In this case I have to be proud that an english movie has reached tamil standards. But, the point is; "A friend run into the path of a knife and get himself killed to save his friend`s life" is a concept which hasnt been in use even in tamil cinemas since 1995! Outsated is an understatement.

Its got all the hype and toby macguire. But it, on first place shouldnt have been made to a movie. And, someone told me that Kirsten Dunst is nowhere near the beauty of the red haired girl in the comic book! I should admit, i really loved her as a little girl in small soldiers, but she looked real bad in this movie. Im not a lover of super hero movies normally. But, I believe a super hero movie should be as good as batman begins. Thats one movie which I really really loved watching.

Bottom line : Spiderman III is a pile of very old dry tamil cow dung! Please dont degrade yourself by rating it good!

D`oh

I developed the 2 rolls today, which i took in yercaud. Very disappointed again. I experimented a lot and, one of the rolls wasnt good. So, some of the good pictures turned out to be bad. I hate it when this happens. Anyways. I`ll try and learn. some of the good ones, i`ve posted in the photoblog.

Blurred Vision!

We all go through a lot of things in the journey towards eternity. And, for me, engineering is one of the long trips I took in the journey. It was long enough that I was desperate to finish it. It is a different feeling that Im gonna be on my own, and it is sad indeed that, we guys are gonna part! But, yeah eternity is not an easy destination. All those things apart. Im now happy that I`ve finished engineering. Though I cant be so sure about it. I have no idea where each of us will be in another 3 or 4 months. I`ll have to find new friends, new people new environment. Although I dont feel the way I felt when I entered college from school, a pinch of nervousness prevails. AS always, to satisfy myself, its all in the game.

Had finished my 62nd engineering exam on friday. We wanted to celebrate. But, none of us felt that great. Or maybe it was just me. I remembered those days, when me and the guys discussed how much our college sucked! But, its always the nature that, when we leave something, we realise the worth of it. Thats okay. Im sure, im gonna miss college. I dont know about others, but college was the only place where i had fun.

I went for a family trip to yerkaud. Me, mom, 2 uncles and 2 aunts. Really, it was an awesome place. It wasnt cold, but it was pleasant. Very pleasant. Uncle had booked a room with an awesome view. It was a great trip, excepting the petty quarells. Now Im back, sitting and listening to Save you-Provoked. Awesome song and Im addicted to it! Maybe, we guys will plan something this week. Hope we have some fun in our last days together.

As Good As it Gets

21 years of journey towards eternity has been breathtakingly phenomenal. Learnt, lost, got, gave, troubled and troubled by a lot of things and people. As a little kid, in school, I`ve never felt competition. Never have been the best kid, with best scores in the class. I used to wonder how it would feel being a 'topper'. Maybe, it was a great feeling. But I was already feeling great. And the greater I feel, as I take my next step towards eternity. I have definitely had my bad, sad days. But who hasnt? Now, at this moment, I feel, I lived a perfect life. You dont have to be a winner in every aspect. What matters is, at the end of the day, I am happy.

As good as it gets. I love that phrase. Its a movie which has Jack Nicholson and Helen Hunt, a romantic comedy. Good one. But, not here to talk about the movie. Everyday, I wake up to sunshine, I feel one more day old. I feel it, and its a good feeling. When Im older, and much more busier, I will remember these days, as the days I enjoyed lving. But I wont be complaining. Living every single day to its capacity. I love life.

Yeah, its me!

Its been quite a while since I actually posted. But I have my reasons! No! Im lying. I`ve been in the so called "oppice" for the past week, ever since I came from goa. Oppice, is nothing but, vetti oppice. Its a place where we all sit in our homes doing nothing. Yeah, thats where I was, before and after the goa trip. So I have enough experience in the oppice. Thats enough of the oppice shit. Now the reason I am posting is, to avoid my nephew and niece, who are here for their summer vacation. My niece is an under aged brat, equally irritating, just because I gave her an extra attention when I was at her place. And my nephew, immature 15 year old. I often pity him. Maybe because the place they get their education. He gets a good 90% score in his school, but that aint enough.

I have been wanting to write the so called experiences in goa. It was a great trip. We all loved it. Goa is a photographer`s paradise. But for an amateur like me, it is disappointing when the pics dont come out well. But, yeah who cares? I do it for my satisfaction. We went to these deserted forts. It was hot, very hot there, especially in the forts, but it was worth it. WE visited the Champora and the Aguada forts. WE visited a number of beaches. We bsicaly did a lot of stuffs together. Fun, is the keyword. But goa is an expensive place. I spent a good 4 grand, excluding the travel expenses.

I have been reading a lot of blogs when I am at the oppice. I feel so down in the line wheni read some of them. Wow!, Man, I lack the feel when I write it. hmmm, again who cares? I write for my satisfaction.

Your garden fruits are not always sweet!
Definitely, an unforgettable trip! Goa is a beautiful place. That is obvious. But surely, after chicago, its the best place I`ve been. Actually, thats the farthest place I`ve been in India! Yeah, I loved the trip. All the guys were in the mood to groove. We had excellent fun with each other. And, finally in the end of college life, we get to understand each other properly. And, it was a great gang.

Thou - Mastermind of the trip!Very responsible, and always ready to have fun!
Edo - The silent guy. Wipes any kind of tension with a smile.
Sue - Another mastermind behind the trip. He booked the tickets. And, yeah reponsible and understands people.
Sori - Makes a guy shut up wih just a stare. Looks like a bollywood hero with his sunglasses.
Shan - Mr. Irresponsile. Misplaced my bag, lost his wallet twice, lost the keys to his luggage, and lot more of his "leelaigal"!
Zbhai- The fun guy of the group. Laughs at the silliest jokes.
body - The weekest guy of the group. Confused all the time. But he is "Romba Nallavan".
Saro - He laughs at everything me and sue does. Adjusting is a problem.

It was a good trip and we all loved it. Thank you guys for the experience.

P.S. My photogrphs taken there are really really bad!

My Pics :)

I`ve been taking pictures in my slr for some time now. The 1st roll which was already there in the camera... was expired and thus was a flop show. Today I developed another roll which has come up pretty well. I took the pictures mostly near my house and in the garden. Taking the camera to Goa now, will be back with another collection!

Visit my other blog to check out the pictures.

Whats worse than a Hot bad day?

When you have a bad day, its like getting hit by a cotton ball and you end up getting a head ache. It was like that yesterday. I had been in thou`s place monday nights. Played Brian Lara cricket 2007, did little bit of project report work, slept at 5 in the morning and got up at 7 and came home. I took print out of the report. Wich took like 1 hour for a copy and i took 2 copies. And pressure from my friend Se to go to college and get the report verified soon. I finished the printing process only by 12. Went to college to see our guide hogging on "Drumstick" Sambar rice. Couldn`t stand seeing it. So I waited. Waited for half an hour for her to finish her lunch. Then she found small mistakes. She asked us to redo it!! hell with her.

Then came home. Dint have money. I was bankrupt after thou`s home night, the previous night. Went to the atm, took money and bought papers. Came back and started printing. In a wink, 20 papers dot stuck in the printer. Wow!! I was sweating like hell. I had to finish the work the next day. Dint know what to do. I then called "body". He asked me to come home and take printout. Its a good 10 to 15 kms to his place. So went there and took print out. The bad day just continued the next day. Went to the shop for binding and he said he would take a life time to bind it. So went to se`s place and then gave it for binding somewhere near his place. Phew! Finally it was over! A good 30 hours of nightmare. But it feels good that it is over now! With the tempo increasing for the trip which starts day after, it feels even better.

In Dino!

Watched 300 the day before. Bottom Line : Awesome visual effects! The guys` abs were too damn good. Shit mann! All the 300 guys had abs like that. They must be working out for a living! Then we stayed in Tho`s place for the night. Jus 3 of us. We watched the bad display of the south africans and playing Brian Lara`s cricket 2007. It was fun. We played till 5 in the morning and then hit the bed. I came back home, ate and slept again. Nowadays, the sleep constituting most of the time of my life.

Off late, I`ve been addicted to a particular song. Its called In Dino from a movie called Metro-life in a city. Its an awesome song. Ive spent a total of 2 hrs waiting for that song to be telecast on tv, untill i finally downloaded it. Its just a great song. And, I feel I am missing something in life. But, I guess I am absolutely happy now. I just love the way life is goin on now. But, nothing can last forever. So keeping my fingers crossed. Love you all! Just got nothing much to post about. :)

Blank Mind!

Knowing a celebrity doesnt make anyone look cool! No reason to mention it, but it just crossed my mind. There are a lot of guys whom I know who knows, you know who, celebrities. Doesnt make them celebrities for sure. It seriosuly aint a topic to post about. I wrote a post last night. Wasnt good, so deleted it. Recovered the same post and changed some of it. Still wasnt good enough. So deleted it. Wrote another post, which wasnt good either. So deleted it and now I`m writing this one. Going to watch 300 tomorrow. Saw finding neverland today. Finding neverland was just a beautiful movie. Depp is awesome. So is Kate Winslett. They are just good actors.

I met up with an old friend with whome i had a huge quarell sometime back. Its been 5 months since i saw him. Quite a big quarell. Fought our souls out!! Met up with him th day before and we were okay with each other. I cant call him a friend now, but i can forgive him as a human being. Maybe, he isnt even sorry, but yeah, to me what he did was bad and i forive him for that. The other things, i did some shopping. Got 3 t-shirts, 2 shirts and 2 jeans for 1300 bucks. It was an awesome sale. And i got a Nike shoe for 1300 bucks, which was worth 2300/-. So happy i saved some money.

Garden State...

I saw this movie in star movies late last night. I loved it. As I saw it, I thought I must be the only one to like it. I`ve never heard of the movie before I saw it. I knew Zach Braf from scrubs. And to my surprise, he has written and directed the film. For a small time, TV series star, he has dona a brilliant job. And yeah Natalie Portman. Gorgeous as usual. She gives you the feeling that you know her for years, in the movie. Very cute. I simply loved the movie. It deals with the confused mind of a low life guy who ran away from home to LA, and then he comes back for his mother`s funeral. Zach has played the role beautifully. I at times felt me in the role. The confused young man finds a way to stay happy in the end.

I have to say, I loved Zach in scrubs. The comedy sitcom without the back laughs. Its nice. And I already love Natalie Portman from V for Vendatta. She is very very cute in the movie. You just instantly fall in love with her. I found a guy quote in his review for this movie that.. "For our grandfathers it was "its a wonderful life", for our parents it was "the graduate" , for our big brothers it was "Fight club" and for us, its "Garden State". It aint much of Ita a wonderful life, but its a beautiful movie. I liked it mostly because, I saw myself on screen.

blah blah blah...

You want something? go get it! Period!

Thats a quote from persuit of happyness. And yeah of course i believe it. I also believe in another thing. I am responsible for everything I do! I am the only reason that I am happy now. I am the reason for all the problems I faced. And I herey take a oath that, I wouldn`t blame anyone else for what happens to me. Deep in the situation`s theory, im sure, I`ll be the reason for what that happens. There you go, that made me feel better.

I`ve been wierd for the past 4 months. I`ve developed an incredible self esteem. The "I am What I am!!" attitude. Maybe wrong, but thats the way I am now! I`ve become an extrovert. Its a drastic change. From a selfless moron with no self respect, asking infinite sorrys just to get rid of the issues even if i had not done anything, to a guy who boasts of what he is. Its practically huge. But, we learn in life. And the lessons urge us to take decisions and change us. For now, I can say Im happy of what I am and I`ll be happy forever. One lesson that i`ve learnt is, if you have a problem you deal with it. No one else in the whole world are in a state to help you!
Its got philosophical today! sigh... chow..

Skating on the Soap!

You all know the story of Ram being vetti(jobless) all day. But does any of you know the story of Ram sitting and watching television all day? I agree. There isnt a considerable difference. But, I got more options in Tv now, than before. Yeah, it took me a record 6 months to persuade my parents to get a STB(set top box). Thats cable for the paid channels. I got it for the world cup. But by the time it was installed, India was out of the world cup. But, nevertheless, its been a great time pass.I get all the channels now, and I watch everything. Im so glued now, that my parents repaired the old portable television to watch the daily soaps. And believe me, there are quite a lot of them.

Before getting the Stb, I did a small thing by asking my parents to "sacrifice" the soaps for one night, coz I was watching a movie. Mom, after a considerable struggle gave up. Dad, was desperate. He was so desperate to have the remote and watch the soap. That was a little too much for missing a soap for a day. Its getting into the head of the people who stay at home. They get addicted to it. And I hate it when mom justifies it by saying "its just for entertainment". My god! Dad was fighting for the remote to me for "entertainment". And it was just one day! Ive never disturbed them when they watch that shit. And mom watches soaps in which she doesnt even know the name of the characters. And, believe me they are not even near good. I`ve went through some tooth-biting watching sessions. Its totally out-of-the-mind stuff. Its totally stupid. But yet they watch it like they got nothing else to do! This should end at some point of time. I sure do wish it does.
I`ve suddenly got this urge to blog everyday. And here I am! Its 1:45am and im sitting and typing. Today, or rather yesterday was good. Did nothing useful, but it was fun. Had to go out on a project work, and got it completed in a matter of time. Have been watching the match, WI vs NZ till now. WI are in a bad shape. and the black caps seem to be in good touch. I wish, SA or NZ to get the cup. Dunno what is gonna happen and who cares? India is out of the tournament. The thought of it haunts me. No more cricket talks!

Doin it the Goan Way!

Keep your ears wide open! Yeah, I said Goa! And, my requests have been granted finally by the guys. The tickets have been booked. We are leaving to goa on 13th of april and coming back on 20th. Thats a whole week. Im excited alright. The guys at a certain stage started calling me "goa fantasy guy" (I made that up!!). Now, the stage is set for the ultimate fun of the lifetime. Now i have to get geared up for a trip which is 2 weeks away. We are going directly to banglore. We stay there for a day and a night and then we leave for goa. Its gonna be fun with 10 guys on board. Looking forward to it! :)

Flash News: Ram, bought batteries and film rolls for the camera and has already started clicking his way to fame!!
(I agree! That was a little too much!!)

Yet Another Flash news: Ram could`nt stop talking to someone he hates!
(Yeah! Thats it! Im outta here!

Back To Hell!

The title doesn`t mean, Dindigul was a complete success. But yeah, I had to rush to college in the morning to get my project review done, came back home, slept for 5 hours and got up with a damned head ache. So, this is hell. But, Dindigul was fun. We were only 3 of us. We had a preety decent hotel room, and yeah we watched the pathetic match. It did not affect me much, the indians simply dint deserve to get into the super eights. But, yeah lets get over it and Im gonna forget cricket for sometime now.

We went to a place called, Sirumalai. A very beautiful endangered mountain range, which hardly had any human inhabitants. Well, thats apparently one of the place which would be close to my heart all the time. We took a helluva lot of pictures and yeah we had quality time there. The most embarassing parts of the trip is where we dine and interact with JK`s family. They were all good people, infact very good people who talked a language which none of us understood, and they cooked real damn well. But, dining at someone`s place whom we dont know, is embarassing. But we coped up well. And the marriage, was good. Good food, good people, unknown language, and very few people. We were the odd men out and i can say we really dint love it.

The heat riding up our spinal cords, upto the modula oblangada, we did manage pretty well. We went to another place called Mallai-Kottai(mountain-fort). Its a fort built by Tippu Sultan. Overall, it was a satisfactory trip and i dont regret it. But the heat is building up and guy like me who drives around half my life, its real hard. Now, im back to hell, and im being promoted in the office. Dont take it seriously. Im working in a vetti office. And im a vetti officer. Now, im the CEO of the office and believe me, there are quite a number of ppl working under me.

Expensive Embarassment!

Yippee!! I`ve got my Slr camera finally! Thank you Kirthi, Love you! You can see me posting my works hereafter. But, thats gonna take some time. Im goin to Dindugul tommorow. Its a place near madurai. We,ie, me, Arun and Kugha, are goin to a friend`s(jaikumar`s) sister`s marriage. She is just his cousin sis, but yeah im goin to have some fun(yeah! In dindugul! Dont you dare raise your eyebrows!). I usually feel embarassed when im called to a function happening to someone whom i dont know! But yeah, thats how life is(I really dint have to say that, but whatever?!).

It once happened, when this bugger, Kugha, took us to a birthday party. You wont believe this. It was the birthday party of, one of his friend`s, who happened to a girl(aunty?!), mother, who turned 50! That really is one of the most ridiculous thing i`ve ever done. Me and Arun dint step in the party hall(?!). We went for a second to say hi to the girl(aunty?!). But we werent a part of it. They were singing a birthday song for a 50yr old woman, and she is obliging with a whole heart. Poor family. And after that, this is the occasion that i`m gonna get embarrassed. And the thing is, I`ve got tickets for 300 bucks and must cost the same for way back, and i`ll be getting some money from my parents to get embarassed. Im looking forward to it. But yeah, we are gonna be there for a coupla days. So it must be fun.

(P.S. This is to my sister, who probably is seriously reading this. No! I am not taking the camera down there!)

phbt

Ive been reading this book called, Road To Gandolfo. Its one helluva book! Its too damn good. Its stylish, the naration is breathtaking. Its more or less as stylish as the film departed. Yeah departed was very stylish flick. I saw the movie once at home and on the guys` request went to the cinemas to watch the film. Well to say the truth, it is a movie to be watched in the theatre. You dont get the feel of the movie when you watch it at home. And the excitement starts right when Jack Nicholson voice echoes,
I don't want to be a product of my environment. I want my environment to be a product of me.
till the end where Matt Damon says "Okay"! The most awesome character was Dignam, played by Mark Wahlberg. Hes just a guy, going around screwing everybody bigtime. Nice movie.

The world cup going on, and after a great great debate, my parents were convinced to get the Dish TV. Through which we get all the paid channels. It isnt installed yet. And its of no use. I wanted to watch all the world cup matches in digital quality. But india must have lost the game against the minnows, bangladesh by now. Its so freaking disappointing. Seriously, the guys should get used to playing without me(wink)!Wokay, thats it for now.

Missing a life!

Its been long since i posted, and im sorry for it. Today, there wasnt any power, i went out. Was standing in my portico(atleast thats what we call it). I was staring(yeah the same ole staring!!) at the cows outside. Nothing fascinating though. I saw a coupla kida come by. They were playing something. I dint understand what it was, but apparently they were having such a great time playing it. I still dont know what it was, but i admired the excitement i saw in the kids` faces. I miss that kind of innocent happiness. I wish i am a kid again.

I have this quote, which says "theres no point being a grown up, if u cant be childish sometimes" , and the picture says this was said by Dr Who. But it is true. Somethings trigger your childish self and it is a good feeling. Ive been childish once in a while with the guys, and apparently ended up being humiliated. That doesnt bother me much. Love you guys!! (im not gay, for heaven`s sake!!) But on the whole, we do have to be childish when we want to.

2 days back i saw a movie called paruthiveeran. It was a good one. The ending was a tragedy. I might have cried if i had seen the movie at home. Excellent performance by both the actors. And a lot of things have been happening around. Ive again lost sleep and will have to try hard for it. I have to forget things and get over it. It just takes time and fortunately, i have all the time in my life. My project is completed and ready to be submitted.

Life as it is!!

What has been going on for th last week has been phenomenally un-understandable. I`m absolutely happy, but dont look happy, i love parents, but dont show it to them, I love being at home, but look as if im reluctant to get out. Honestly, I dont understand the theory of this kind of actions or rather stupidity. Theoritically, these are just the mannerisms which are changed mannually. But, believe me I tried, and especially when you dont know why you are like this, you tend to think a lot and thats what is happening to me. I dont want to get back to the days where I stare walls and get myself called insane, though it is not insanity.

The above paragraph made no sense(it does to me). But yeah here goes. Yesterday was one of the most pathetic trips in my lifetime. It was fun to be around with the guys but none the less, it was disgusting.ugh! There was a pretty good video made in the bus, where we did our trademark dialogues. That only was fun. Other than that, I hated every minute of the trip. Forgettable one.

Things that have been happening, just dont make any kind of sense to me. Just when I was sure that I was in control of everything with respect to me, something out of my control just happens. I talk to someone, to whome I never wanted to talk, I get angry on one of my very good buddies. But I still do believe it was his mistake. It was petty fight. It never meant anything serious, but he should`ve appologised rather than irritating me further. I got pissed big time and now, im not even returning his calls. Life just gets stupid as time goes by. If i just ignore him, i really dont have anyone else. But he should`ve asked sorry. and the fact that, he never asks sorry, triggers it all!

Freaking Life!

Its been a really really long time since ive posted! Apparently aving a blast! Got my 2nd review for my project done today. Went on well. But they say, the project doesnt have that much of a complexity. But who cares? The point is to get a pass. It works like this; you do a project so damn perfect with absolutely no flaws he gets through with a centum, you finish the project, but there are these flaws and stuffs, you get a 90%; you dont finish your project but you`ve given it a try, you get a 80%; if you havent done much of it at all, you get a 70%; and if u havent started it, but you have just told them what you are doing, you get 60%! So, wtf?? I`ll clear it anyways, and for the records, i should get a 90%! The project is the sadder part of my life right now.

There is this, music album which was released this week. Its called Chennai 600028. Music composer : Yuvan Shankar Raja. Its good. Not mind blowing and all, jus okay. But I`ve listened to nothing but it for quite sometime now. Basically because, the music is all about taking life easily. And yeah, thats the mantra right now. I found this awesome tagline. It goes this way, "Life is Beautiful - Terms and Conditions apply". I was flattened. It was so funny, yet makes a serious note!

Tomorrow, we are going to the so called IV(Industrial Visit). Yeah supposedly the whole class. The 1st thing that comes to the mind when I think about tommorow is "Gross"! For the 1st every time, the whole class is going and to what place?? Its a resort, called Golden Sun in the ECR! So damn stupid, jus because that was the place, where we guys once went and had the best of fun! Thats the place where p2v broke is leg on his b`day! That was fun and lot of things happened after that. We did have some outrageous fun, but that was a day to be remembered. Dont know how disgusting tommorow is going to be.Ugh!

Anyways, anything with the guys around is fun. And talking about now, Ive been reading a helluva lot of calvin and Hobbes. Calvin is getting some serious respect from me. Some of his qoutes are so damn funny that i think of it and laugh! I`ll just put up some slides which i found damn funny!

There are lots! I have the whole series from 1985 to 1995! :)

It indeed is a Wonderful Life!

Ive always went back in time and imagined myself as a kid crying my heart out for something. And believe it or not, i was literally weeping today after watching a movie called its a wonderful life. Its an old 1946 flick which came into my scanner pretty late. Easily became the best movie all times! It jus tells you that your life is worth living. There might have been a lot things which you may have done with or without your knowledge, which may have a made a difference in other people`s lives. And that difference might just have been their lives.

Its good to watch these kind of movies. They just turn out to be an eye opner sometimes. Just when you are cribbing and whining about your life being totally worthless and you are just making people worser than they are, the movie tells you how important you are and what kind of purpose you have achieved in your lifetime. Its an old saying, every person in the world have a purpose. With or without their knowledge they just live fulfilling their assigned purpose. And, I still cant believe i weeped like a child after watching this movie. I told about the film to suresh( who asked me to watch it) and we both started crying. Its funny sometimes.

Magnolia

I`ll tell you what!! Doing nothing is a lot of fun. Thats what i`ve been doing for the past 3 days. Went to Pachaikili Muthucharam on friday, hoping it would be good. Well, it was derailed taken in an extremely bad way! And moreover, I dont like these guys-cheating-on-their-wives movies. I`d rather not think nor talk about the movie.
I saw coupla more movies which are worth talking about. One is magnolia. This is a multistarrer, with most of the stars infamous. The only famous ones are Tom Cruise and Julliane Moore. It was good movie. Taken beautifully. I jus saw the movie, empty headed, and i wasnt able to understand many parts of the movie. Like, the scene where it starts raining frogs! Then i had to look up for details. That sums up how jobless I am! I found this info about the mythology of exodus 8:2. It was interesting and the thing that fascinates me is that, the director has taken the movie corresponding to the myth and hes done it in a modern way. Its a damn good movie and worth a watch.

The next movie is "The Inside Man". Well, it is a hollywood movie and it starts with our very own, Chaiyya Chaiyya song by God(Rahman). One of the most stylish movie Ive seen after V for Vendatta. Yeah here again, the dialogues matters. Clive Owen is too good and makes me jealous most of the times and my man, Denzel Washington also does a pretty good job. But for me the highlight is the song. Its a damn good mix and it merges superbly with the movie.I saw it till the end of credits jus because of the song. see? nowadays, ive got absolutely nothing to post about.

What the hell am I supposed to write now?? I really cant think of anything. Its really different now. Absolutely no worries and not a thing to whine about. Truly happy! Even the most disappointing incidents, though irrepairable are gotten over and, now, i have to think of something to feel bad about and yet I dont find any! This is totally different. There is a considerable difference after the results at home too. Dad`s all enthusiastic and all. Its me who is trying to be a bit down, or am I? What I need is, a nice freak out session for another week. I wanna have real fun. but not enough plans!!

What the hell?? next challenge im gonna face is when I join work. Its gonna take a while untill that happens. Okay!! Ive done enough thinking of what to write next!! Thats that! cya!

End of result Mania!

Yeah!!! The doomsday has arrived and the results were suddenly published. Okay!! I went to the gym, working my ass off to reduce weight. Took my phone during the break and there were 4 missed calls and 3 msgs. Good god! And one of the msg was from sriram!! It said, "U all pass!". Goddamnit. I jumped. The 1st thing is, i did not expect it today. The 2nd thing is i did not expect an all pass! The 3rd thing is i most certainly did not expect a 73%! It may seem low, but trust me, it a helluva lot, for me atleast! I called him right away to confirm. And he did confirm. Called mom and asked her too check it out.

Good day it was. Saw 2 movies. Last night, i was damn tired off the turtle walk(which deserves another post)! MY eyes begged for some rest, but i did not want the day to end! Something told me the result would come today but most of the sites said it wasnt today! So i wanted yesterday to last longer. I slept at midnight. Woke up today at noon. Watched 2 movies, my girl and much ado about nothing in sony pix. Dint care a damn about the results. Went to the gym. I have this omen thing when results are coming out. It is considered by me that, if results are out when im not home, it turns out to be good. Thats what happened last time! Guess it is nothing, the results depend on what i have written in the paper. Now, i have 2 more theory papers and a project. Im quite sure there isnt going to be any result phobia anymore! A happy farewell to the worst feeling in my life, forever!

Result Mania!!

Okay!! This is one of the 2 times of the year that Iam totally out of my conscience!
It is the time when the result are expected anytime. I`ll just give a briefing abt how the results have treated me every year.

The mania/phobia started back in 2001 during my 10th results. I was one among the 7 ppl in the school who dint pass with a distinction.I got a 79%!! I got screwed royally for that. Then it was 2003, during my 12th results. No one expected much out of me, as most of them knew i wasnt going to get much marks. An dad, he jus prayed that i should pass! Then i got 82%. That dint seem much to me. But one of the 1st time, dad congradulated me! I cud find no reason for him to congradulate me, but later i realised, he expected a mere pass from me.

Here comes the college result phobia history!

January 2004 : It was a friday afternoon. Bunked college and had come home! This guy called p2v called me. He said results were out. He usually was the last man i could trust. I dint believe it, but then realised it was true. He saw my results and he did say that i cleared all the papers and i owed him a treat. I got 75% in the 1st semester. After that, there was no turning back.

August 2004 : It was a saturday evening, me, anush(a pal from my bus), kk(karthik) and vimal(one of my seniors) had gone to the besant nagar beach, just to have fun. And we did have fun! and on my way back, i got the news that results were out. I had got an instant shaker running in my stomache, and the process continues ever after. I stopped half way, caught up with a friend, and saw the results in a stupid browsing center. I had flunked in 1 paper. It was maths II!! It looked as if i had lost a lot in my life. I cried for hours and apologised a million times to my parents, who were in the us!! Then i dont know how, i moved on.

February 2005 : The months of, aug, sept, oct and nov of 2004, i was all by myself and you could imagine how i wudve prepared! I wrote the exams with a wierd gut. But the result was obvious. I had cleared the old maths II paper and now there was the maths III paper!! I dint expect to flunk in that stupid paper, though i expected to flunk in some other paper. But this was shitty. My parents were here when the result came and got royally screwed in the arse! Big time!! Again, I still do not understand, how i got over it.

July 2005 : This time, i was nurtured under the watchful eyes of my PARENTS! I did study before the exams, and i cleared all the papers except the good ole maths III. But dint get screwed big time. This was because, i had already told my folks that i wud flunk in that subject. I dint have to get over anything! Just went on!

February 2006 : A few days after kirthi left chennai. The squarebrothers.com had posted that the results will be published that night 7pm. It was extended to 9pm. Finally it was released near midnight. I was shocked! I was fairly confident that i will clear the maths III. But they had put a horrifying 8 out 80! I was totally pissed. But again, got royally screwed. Worst days of my life. But i got over it when i concentrated on something else. But i was too damned pissed and my placement depended on it!Everyone at home were upset. I did not know what i would do with my future, nor did my dad. The most horrifying 5 months, untill...

5th,August 2006 : The results of my 6th semester was released, when i was taking arun and jai for a treat.Ironically it was the next day of my placement. It was a heavenly feeling. It was after 2 years that i saw a result which had an all pass sheet for me. I was thrilled, overwhelmed by the sudden success. I sometimes acted too smart and sometimes too dumb. And wrote the 7th semester exams.

I rally cant explain how i wrote it. I cant say i did it bad, but nor can i say im 100% confident. But i wish, or hope, i clear all the papers. The shaker has already started running in my stomache.

The Pursuit Of Happyness!

This was a beautiful movie! It is about a guy called Chris Gardner, who later became a big time stock broker. Now, this movie`s got Will Smith. I`ve been a big fan of his, especially after watching Fresh Prince of Belair. The guy was hilarious in that show, and he does a contrasting role in this movie. He has played the role beautifully. The movie was beautifully taken and Will Smith`s narration was tremendous. Especially when he says, "This is the part of my life, I call happiness", a tear literally runs through your cheeks. My kind of movie, and has all the ingredients for the oscars.

The other movie which i saw was, The Departed. The movie was good, Awesome show by Jack Nicholson, Leonardo Di Caprio and Matt Damon. Nicely taken, Good screenplay! But it reminded me of the tamil movie Kuruthipunal! It must be ecstatic of me to compare a tamil movie with an oscar nominated movie. The 2 movies have nothing much in common. But, the story is somewhat similar. The police puts a rat in the bad guy`s empire and the bad guys a rat in the police empire. Thats what both the movie has. But, what happens in the 2 movies is totally a different story! They have nothing in common. Nice watchable movie, departed, stylish, but lacks a little bit of oscar substance.

So Near Yet So Far!

The topic absolutely makes no sense! But I was thinking of a lot of things that corresponds to that lil saying. I was waiting on my bike in the middle of a traffic jam.Had to go to a medical shop. It was abput 100 yards, but i cudnt go when i wanted to. See? that constitutes to "So Near Yet So Far!". Typically me aint it? Absolutely making no sense. To be honest, I`ve been thinking a lot of stuffs which constitutes the same thing.

Had a coupla exams today at college, It was so funny! It made absolutely no sense, for us to avoid the 150 bucks fine, we had to write the exams. Noe the new rule is that, if we get to fail we get to pay a fine of 100bucks. Thats absurdly funny! It is totally my wish to pass or fail in my exam. But, in our case, there is an understanding between the good staffs and us. They promised us, "write something in the paper, we`ll pass you, and you dont have to pay the fine" Goddamnit! We are too lucky! Every college should have good staffs like these to break the stupid rules that the college makes!

Friday, February 02, 2007

Its been quite a while since i`ve posted. Well, i actually was kind of busy. The day after the party, i slept all day.The next day that is on wednesday, we left for this place called pennadam, for a marriage. It was my cousin`s marriage. I really dont know her much, but had to go, coz I was the spare driver. It was my uncle who drove most of the time. Damn he was fast!! You shud see the look on dad`s face! And the better side is, I touched a 120 and dad dint say a word.

And about the party, monday night, it was fun. A whole lot of people were there. Had a nice swim, had pretty okay food and listened to music. And we talked, talked, talked and talked! Even after going to bed, me and suresh were blabbering for half an hour. Got up the next morning, had a great swim, tanned ourselves in the morning sun and listened to Rahman for 2 hours! Then we left, came back home and slept for the whole day.

Then about the trip to pennadam. I stayed in a house, typically of the village type. It was beautiful. And then the marriage. I really felt a pity for them, the couple. They dint even talk to each other. The girl(my cousin), looked like she seriously needed a shoulder to lie down and cry on. Poor female! And no one recognised me! Absolutely no one! I was like the dude of the village!

Then we went to this place called, vadalur. There was some carnival and it was the anniversary of a guy called Ramalinga Adigalar. I usually am not fascinated by going to temples on speacial days and worshipping them. But this guy, he has done nothing, except writing poems and doing yoga. This man lived 200 years ago and he is said to have vanished in thin air. And for this man, and on his death anniversary, there are literally lakhs of people coming to give their respect to him. What we apparently see is a burning camphor through a translucent glass. And believe me, there were atleat 1 lakh people witnessing it. I was really fascinated. I wish I cud go next year.

Today, we happened to go to a symposium at anna university. Its called abacus 2007. I laid my feet on all the competitions, but i did wat i do best! I put mockai! If you dont know what that means, its just pathetic jokes(pjs). Me and ma buddy, suresh showed our skills all over the prelims question paper and we were the 1st among the finalists! For an example, our team name was "Masala Dahi Aloo Sev Pani Puri"!! They had to announce it on stage! We have our finals tomoro, LOL! Its gonna be fun!
